Please Note:
The red LED above the on/off switch will remain steady when the iron is on but not fully heated; it will blink when the iron has reached its designated temperature. No red light (with the switch in the on position) means the iron is in the process of decreasing the temperature to a lower heat setting.

Im African American with thick curly natural hair looking for a professional flat iron. I had heard a lot of talk about the CHI and did some research on my own. I purchased the FHI Platform about a week ago and have used it once. I rarely press out my hair due to the time consuming process but I know I will definately straighten it a lot more with the FHI. My hair was bone straight in one pass on mid temp. (Love the adjustable temp. control)
Love my new platform, it is so much better than my last straightener, it makes my hair look and feel so much different. I think for me this was definitly the right choice.
I received this from my Mom for Christmas when I told her I wanted a CHI. I absolutely love the FHI. Really easy to use, with no effort what-so-ever, I end up with beautiful hair!

I have very curly frizzy hair which is ear length. I originally had a Sedu and I would spend at least 45 min blow drying my hair and flat ironing it and an hr later if I was out in the humid Florida air it would be frizzy and its like I wasted my time doing my hair at all which is very upsetting considering all the time you take. I am waiting for tomorrow and the next day ?if my hair will stay straight and not poof up like it has done. I tried the FHI hot sauce and man my hair is soooooooooooo soft u need 2 use it on your hair! Thanks Misikko and I hope I have better results with the FHI.
I just purchased the platform series flat iron. I have an FHI iron that i'm replacing after 8 YEARS! And it still works!! It's just worn in and the cover plate for the heat element fell off like 3 yrs ago but my two daughters and I still use it. I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING BUT AN FHI !!!
I LOVE this iron! What's weird is when I run it through my hair, my hair is not very hot - but it's straight! It does not dry or fry my hair out, it seals the cuticle and is light and easy to use. I've tried many flat irons and after some in depth research about my needs (I relax my roots every 8 - 10 weeks, but like to keep 2-3 inches of my ends natural 4a). So, I can say this flat iron works wonder on natural and relaxed hair. It's got all the features of all the best flat irons in 1! Very even Ceramic heat, Nano, Tourmaline, and a varied temp setting. I LOVE IT! And this site's service is very good!
The FHI Platform 1 is amaaazing! This is my first time purchasing a pro iron, and I bought it based off of the reviews. I have thick hair, and I get salon results at home (I use it along with the FHI 1900 dryer)! I can't believe how soft and shiny it makes my hair! I'll never stray from this brand! Thanks Misikko!
I have very dry curly hair, I have used many different straightening irons and this is by far the very best. NO MATTER how humid it is outside my hair stays straight and no frizz. My hair is now shiny, manageable, and very healthy looking. Thanks Misikko your site was so helpful in making my decision on this iron.

I'm loving the FHI flat iron! It heats up fast and leaves my hair silky soft. It's lighter in weight than the Chi, which I used for about 2 weeks before the FHI. I have curly, thick hair and needed the hotter setting, 450 degrees. I have shoulder length hair and after first drying it, it only takes about 15-20 minutes to straighten. It's the best flat iron I've had in a long time.
I had been borrowing my daughter’s Paul Mitchell flat iron until I got this iron. I really, really love it. It is the perfect width for me. My hair is so soft and shiny after I use it and it stays that way all day long! It also heats up at a lightning fast speed. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants professional results at home.
