I love the way this iron feels and I gave it to my sis because it works really well with her relaxed hair. I'm trying to stay naturale and so I got myself a hana that goes to 450 which works a lot better.

I've been using this FHI for about 6 months. My hair is very coarse and has natural wave and curl. Using the FHI, my hair stays straight all day, night and next day until I re-wash and style. I allow the FHI to heat up while I'm getting dressed, or eating a meal, and then style. It's really hot by then and does a great job in a short time. I have a bob cut that has longer sides in the front. Would buy another FHI.

I've had about a 1/2 dozen flat irons and find this one to be more gentle on my hair, while doing the job of straightening. In a climate of high humidity, the FHI keeps my hair straight, allows me to angle the ends, and doesn't leave me with burn places and split ends. The only drawback is that I can't tell when it has reached its optimal/hottest temperature. There is no flashing light that goes solid or anything to tell me it's at 400+ degrees, so I'm just trusting that it is ready. But I'm satisfied and consider this one of the best I've had so far.
