It is with out a doubt my favorite iron. It is quick easy and just like some of the other reviewers I would say well worth every dollar it cost. Now all I need is a hair dryer of this quality!!!!
I literaly straigten my hair every day and so I didn't want to use something cheap after spending the amounts of money at the salon every month. This is my second elite because I gave my old one to my younger sister and can't live without it! I used to need 30 minutes to get my hair as straight as I wanted but with the elite it's like more like 20 minutes or so which makes a huge differenc because I'm always late to work anyways. My friend got a chi runway about the same time I got my elite and she says she likes it but like everyone talks about the plates turn brown after a few months. My sister's elite's now 2 years old and it looks new! But I also baby it and clean it with iron at least twice a week.

Overall, I'm really satisfied about the results and since I use it 2-3 times/week (I'm addicted!), will be worth the investment. My hair was starting to get thinner, weak and really broken with my Sedu (used it for 1½ year). Btw, I have natural blond but really thick hair, with waves and many crazy broken hair full of static without the Hana Elite.

i have been researching flat irons for literaly like ever. i have curly hair that frizzes up in rain or winds or humidity, everywhere even after its been hairspraed to the point where hair is so hard u think itl break but i used this striaghtener at a friends hoouse and my hair has nvr been striaghter ever! it even stayed striahgt over night and only needed slight touchups. im getting one for my birthday, highly recommended!!!!

I actually have not used it yet it is being shipped as I type, but I am sure that it will be the best gift to myself. I'm always on the go back and forth to school and I want my hair to be silky smooth 24/7. I'm African American with have curly frizzy hair and have been using my younger sisters Chi and it works, But as I look through the other reviews I am assured that the Hana Elite is my blessing from Misikko. I didn\'t think there could be that big a difference between a ceramic and tourmaline flat iron and one that had solid ceramic plates. I was wrong. The Elite flat iron is incredible. I have had many flat irons in my life but none perform like this one. It glides through my hair. I have thick, curly, wavy, frizzy, unmanageable hair. It is colored, has been straightened, TRied, and I have also done the Brazilian Keratin treatment. Thank you Misikko for the best flat iron made. I have had several flat irons, infrashine and chi and either one worked like the Hana Elite. My hair is straight and it shines. I paid a little bit more than the other products but like I said it was worth it. Customer Service was great also, the item arrived in record time.

About my hair: It's EXTREMELY thick. Half curly, half wavy, since it's a mix of this and it doesn't know what to do, it mostly puffs and frizzes. My hair stylist always grabs it in her hand, commenting how thick it is, comparing it literally to a horses tail. That's about how close I can get to describing it's thickness and coarseness.
My Flat Iron Resume: I've used everything from the low end (when I was young and naive: Conair, Hot Tools, to higher end, Solano, Solia and CHI.)
I received my iron yesterday. Just a day after the order was placed! Customer service was great, calling to inform me that the original iron I had wanted (Hana Elite 1.5) was discontinued, so I took the leap and ordered the 1".
Let me just say I was VERY skeptical. I had bought the Solia 1" and it was HORRIBLE. I have purchased every iron in the 2" style. I thought that the thicker the hair, the bigger the iron you bought.
I opened the box and the packaging was so cute, I received a free bottle of Hana serum, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, nail files, etc. I opened the tin and got even MORE skeptical! The iron is SO small!!! I have never in my life used, or even thought of getting something so small and I immediately thought it wouldn't be the life saver I hoped it would be.
This morning I woke up and anxiously plugged it in. I waited 10 minutes for it to heat to full effect, and after all that time I noticed there wasn't even any heat smell. (My CHI used to stink when it heat up, it smelled like burning metal, but that's how I knew it was hot.)
I set my hair up into pieces and began the process. After one section had one pass with the iron, I noticed that my hair wasn't even hot either... did I get a defective iron? Now I'm REALLY getting worried here.
I did a second pass with the flat iron, really concentrating this time, and the iron just basically dominated my hair. I have no words for the awesomeness of what occurred. It took a frizzy, thick, puffy section and flattened, smoothed, de-frizzed and pin-straightened it, without the heat, or the stink of burning hair.
Today the weather is HORRIBLE. Rain, heat, humid. And the second I stepped outside I thought, "ugh, well I guess I won't get to see the full effects of the iron today, my hair will just frizz back up like it always does." So I stood outside for a while waiting for my train, walked a few blocks to work, got inside and my hair HAS NOT EVEN MOVED. Still shiny, smooth, soft, pin straight, NO FRIZZ!! Holey MOLEY! Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!
I work in the hotel management industry and rarely do I say that a company has amazing customer service but I really am amazed by the way you conduct business. I got a CHI and returned it without a bit of hassle and you even shipped out this new iron to me while I was sending back my return so that I didn't have to wait! And the Elite is truly the most amazing tool I have ever used on my hair. It stays so hot even towards the bottom of my sections! Love the service and the iron!
My boyfriend bought this for me for our 4 year anniversary and honestly I had never heard of pure ceramic irons but I was amazed at how much of a difference it makes! You have no idea how angry I was when my T3 iron that I paid $200 for at my salon started to have chipping on the plates! I had no idea that irons were coated in ceramic. In my opinion this should be made more obvious to the customers. Save you money on the junk and get this iron. I spent days researching the best pure ceramic iron and this one's easily the best.

I received this item as a giveaway at a press release party and wasn't sure if it was going to fit my needs. I have been using a 1 and 3/4 inch iron (FHI) because I have very thick hair. I was very surprised to find that because of the extra heat and heat area the iron provides, it performed just as quickly on my hair even though the plate is only 1 inch!!! I now use this to straighten my hair because I can get closer to the roots with the smaller plate, and flipping and styling is easier with the smaller plate also.
The Hana Elite is by far the best flat iron out on the market today. I was amazed to see that there was an affordable 100% ceramic flat iron available for non celebrities at such a good price. I have very thick, course, curly, frizzy hair and I was ready to spend the extra money for a miracle worker flat iron to straighten my hair. The Hanna Elite is a very good iron and still better than the Chi iron, but it's not the miracle worker I was hoping for. I still have to work with the hair a while if I expect the results to last.
I bought this flat iron because I wanted to minimize the damage done to my hair. I am African-American and have natural hair and use flat irons often because after I wash my hair it makes it easier to manage. I have used a chi before but did not like it because I could not adjust the temperature. This flat iron straightens my hair surprisingly well and as long as I stay away from a lot of moisture it will stay straight until I do something else to it making it so I don't have to use it everyday. I had gotten this flat iron as a gift and I love it! I have thick long hair and this flat iron straightens my hair and leaves it smooth and shiny. I've read reviews on how it pulls on your hair but I haven't had any problems with that at all while using this flat iron. The best thing that I love about it is that it comes with a traveling case which is cute and useful.

I absolutely LOVED this product!! I have really frizzy big, long, hair,that just poofs up really big whenever a trace of moisture comes near. But with this straightener, I never have to worry anymore, it made it smooth, soft and look VERY silky. And it stays until I wash my hair the next time. IT IS A MUST GET!!!! It is wonderful!!!
I needed a new flat iron after my original Chi stopped working. I was inclined to simply buy another Chi but I decided to do some research and came across the 100% Ceramic Hana Elite Flat Iron. Judging from other reviews and the specs on this product with its price I decided that I would spend the extra money and buy the Hana Elite Iron. I LOVE that it comes with accessories (heat-proof pad, faux-leather travel case, cute tin to store it). I also love the fact that it has adjustable heat up to 450 degrees. My former Chi didn’t have adjustable heat (just on-off). Hana Elite’s 100% ceramic plates do hold heat very well. I notice that I don’t need to press onto my hair when straightening. Barely any effort is needed to create the effect I want. Overall, if you are on the market for a flat iron and want good value for your product, buy this product. There are all too many brands out there that charge 200+ and don’t match in what the Hana Elite gives you. Furthermore, although the original Chi is cheaper, the features of the Chi do not compare to what the Hana Elite delivers, and I completely believe it is worth dishing out the extra money for the MUCH better product.

This iron is completely worth the money! Forget tourmaline, ionized-silver and all that other nonsense. I researched quite a few high-end irons before deciding on this one. Through the years I've owned quite a few expensive irons and they served their purpose but never really impressed me. An article I read convinced me to go with solid ceramic. I had also read quite a few stellar reviews. I knew there was a 30-day money back guarantee so I figured, what did I have to lose? This iron is sturdy and well-made. The size is perfect for shorter hair (I have shoulder length hair). It makes my hair bone straight and even after sleeping on it, my hair is still straight the next day! All I have to do is run the iron through it quickly the following day. I read this same comment in another review and thought, yeah right! but it really is true. It is important that I mention I have not noticed any damage from this iron. My hair was already quite damaged from another iron. It also does not pull or snag my hair. The iron moves through my hair very smoothly. I had never heard of this brand but took a chance. If you want an iron that will impress you, invest your money in this iron. Bottom line - best iron I have ever used or owned!

I am happy with my purchase of the Hana Elite, even though it was pricey. It did its job, although I still get a straighter look in salons...although I think that tends to be the case whenever one flat-irons at home. Either way, it's a great design, and Misikko shipped it fast like they said they would!
The Hana Elite is a great value given that it's 100% ceramic. It heats quickly, distributes heat evenly and flat-irons nicely. I've also noticed that I lose significantly less hair in the flat-ironing process. In addition to loving the flat iron, I love the storage pouch, mat, and sample serum. I was skeptical about the serum as I have very fine hair, but it doesn't make my hair greasy. It works well to protect hair from heat damage, cut down on blow drying time, and it really smoothes fly-aways. Overall, a great compliment to the Hana Elite. Since purchasing this flat iron, I’ve gotten several compliments on how straight my hair is. I did my homework and this is a great value; you won’t be sorry you purchased it.
This is the best flat iron I've ever used. My hair is naturally curly and very frizzy and this flat iron makes it smooth and sleek and soft. It didn't look damaged and didn't pull my hair. :) I love it...you will too!!
It seemed to of died after about 5 months. I took very good care of it, keeping it the Misikko case always. Now the thermostat doesn't always turn on, it just started one day. I won't get this brand again.
Also, when it did work, it didn't seem any better than the $30 irons I used before. I'll go back to getting a budget iron.
I bought this flat iron a year ago and it still works WONDERFULLY. I have naturally curly hair that is kinda of frizzy. I can straighten my hair and sleep on it and the next morning I don’t even have to touch it up. It works so well that I used it at the beach and my hair didn’t even frizz or curl. My cousin actually thought I had naturally straight hair because it works so well. The ceramic plates heat up very nicely and it doesn’t damage your hair at much as other straighteners.
