LED indicator light remains steady when iron is heating up and will blink when desired temperature is reached. If the light is off but the switch is set to On, the iron is decreasing temperature to a lower setting.
I NEED a 1.5" plate because I have crazy amounts of frizzy hair that goes down to the middle of my back. I don't know why other companies don't make a 1.5" pure ceramic iron but I absolutely adore this iron. I've always had issues with how the iron feels in my hand and I never really liked the supernova or the ghd's grips but the elite fits well in my hand and doesn't take too much effort to squeeze yet doesn't feel too soft. This is so important to me and it's something that worried me when buying this online but I'm super happy with how it feels. Also, I'm surprised more people aren't praising the thermal pad, the thing is amazing!
I've literally tried everything from the big chi with the 2" plates to the maxiglide which was so heavy it nearly gave me forearm cramps! I was starting to get hopeless and decided that instead of spending a $90 here and $150 there on the cheaper irons that I'd go all out and get the best... I am seriously amazed by this thing!! It can turn my puffy hair into beautiful smoothed out hair in just minutes! Awesome
This is the best iron ever. It heats up instantly but doesn't seem to make the hair as hot on the surface as other irons, since it uses infared heat to heat the inside of the hair shaft. Gets my 26" long hair super straight after blow drying in less than 10 minutes compared to normal 20 minutes. Leaves hair shiny, smooth and soft, doesn't burn ends or damage my fine, multi-ethnic difficult to manage easily breakable hair. Love it! Also the case and heat proof mat are really nice too!!
My beauty routine desperately needed a make-over! Someone recommended I start with this Hana flat-iron. So I did. It has breathed life back into my tired old hair!
Let me start by saying I know why this is called the "Elite" it means the best, and most professional and this is just that!!! I was skeptical at first because I wasn't sure if these reviews were real, I thought "C'mon it's not that great".. needless to say I was wrong.
It arrived on time and in cute packaging, with trinkets like lip gloss, flowers, and nail filers (Honestly I thought it was pointless but I love the effort) The ceramic plates felt soo smooth but beware THEY ARE DELICATE!! It also comes with a silicone heat-proof mat, which I use constantly.
I recommend this flat iron for constant use, not the occasional use.. it is for flat iron junkies like me =P The first time I took it through my hair I was amazed, my mouth opened in astonishment and disbelief.. it was the smoothest and shiniest my hair has ever been. I owned a Sedu flat iron and this is much more effective, and I love it. Of course, I still keep my Sedu as a back-up in case my Hana breaks, which I recommend since it is delicate ceramic.
The only one thing I would change is where the temperature/ power switch is.. it is on the inside.. while this is a minor annoyance it is not a deal breaker.
It is easy to hold, use, and it glides over my hair.. it makes my curly/frizzy/tangled hair... STRAIGHT SMOOTH SHINY BOUNCY BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm in love =) I highly recommend this

I bought this because I thought that I would need the wider plates but after using the 1" Elite my cousin purchased I kindof wish I couldve gotten the 1" instead because it works just as well and she has an easier time with flipping under.
My daughter asked for this iron for Hanukkah. I don't know anything about these things but after doing a little research on the web, I was happy to find your site. Your prices are the best I've seen. OMG!! FINALLY!! A 100% flat iron for long hair!!. I've been dying for a 100% flat iron with a bigger plate size. I saw the FHI and Hana Elite 1'' flat iron but did not want to purchase them because they are expensive and it would be a waste because I have long thick hair and it would still take me forever to do my hair with a 1'' flat iron. But I came on Misikko hoping they would have new products in which they do almost every month and to my surprise they had a 1 1/2'' flat iron with real 100% plates. Not only do the plates protect my hair from the heat and makes my hair shiny and soft it also straightens my hair faster since my hair is long! THANK YOU MISIKKO FOR ALWAYS BEING UP TO DATE ON THE LATEST TOOLS!!
Finally a flat iron that will work prefectly on my long unruly hair! The bigger plate size makes all the difference. I will with out a doubt be returning to Misikko's site for all my hair needs.
I think it's true in some cases that the more you spend the better quality it is. I haven't tried this but I have tried the CHI and love it and I know this would be the best.
