LED indicator light remains steady when iron is heating up and will blink when desired temperature is reached. If the light is off but the switch is set to On, the iron is decreasing temperature to a lower setting.
This is the best flat iron by far especially for the price. I am African American with natural hair, and it worked wonders. I had a CHI, Superstar, and have tried FHI. They all work it just takes me a lot longer with them. The Hana is quick and easy to straighten and leaves my hair silky. I love it and I would definitely recommend it.
I've been very skeptical about buying products online just because I don't get a chance to look and touch and physically buy the products. I decided to buy with misikko because I spoke with the representative at misikko and she helped me pick out the perfect iron for me and my wallet and she told me to put the order in online because it would go through faster that way, and it did! I just got my hana pro in the mail today and I was so excited! The packaging was so pretty! I even got hand sanitizer (thanks for looking out for flu season, misikko!) and a free sample of the hana shine shield. I have only used it once and I am completely hooked. I can't imagine life anymore without hana products. My younger sister even got the extra flat iron pouch misikko provided. She's happy too! My boyfriend got this for me on my birthday and although he's usually hopeless when it comes to buying me gifts (last year it was a old woman scarf!) this year he did good! The plates get super hot and when used with my shine shield my hair's holding up really well against the humidity here as well. Very happy with it!

I orginally ordered the standard Hana, and I recieved a phone call stating it was out of stock so they gave me great deal on the Professional Hana for the inconveince. Couldn't pass that up at all. Before buying the Hana Pro, I used an iron by Biosilk that I purchased for roughly $60. With the Biosilk iron, I had to pass it through my hair multiple times to achieve a straight look. Even after multiple passes my hair was still left a little frizzy and definately dull and dry. I would have to add a shine serum or spray to give it some life back. With the Hana Pro all I need is one pass and I get smooth, straight, shiney and SILKY hair. I never thought I could achieve silky hair. This iron transforms the texture of my hair. I have recieved sooo many compliments and people are always wanting to touch my hair! I'm very satisfied!
I just got my flat iron today and am already in love. I had a CHI flat iron that worked great and lasted 5 years. I was unsure of which one I should buy this time around. The price and reviews convinced me to try this out and I'm glad I did. I can already tell the difference between this one and my CHI. It does not tug at my hair like my old one did. It also makes it super shiny and free of frizz which is very important considering I have very thick, long coarse hair. I highly recommend this to everyone!!!!!!
A friend of mine told me about the Hana Pro and suggested I tried it. I have been very happy with the Iron and am getting ready to purchase another one. This new one for my mom. It you are going to buy a FLat iron in this price range I suggest this one more than any. It works extremely well and seems to last a long time.

I have really coarse hair (4b/c) and I relax it every six weeks. I was looking for an iron that could help me stretch my relaxers a little bit longer. I tried this iron and it did ok...worked just the same as the iron I’m trying to replace. I think this iron is more for people with straight, curly, or medium coarse hair textures. I guess I’m the odd one on this review.
This is it...the perfect flat iron for even the most unruly hair like mine! I've spent a lot of money on irons that do not work. Finally I found one that does!

Upon deciding I wanted a longer hair style, it became apparent that my wavy, voluminous hair would need a lot of work. Making do with a cheap flat iron for awhile was an unpleasant experience. The thin, painted on plate coating began to peel before long, revealing the metal beneath. This contributed to my hair constantly being caught and subsequently yanked, and what wasn't ripped out was getting plenty of damage. Not only did it take forever to heat up, it took forever to straighten my hair.
Fast forward to receiving the HANA Professional 1" the other day. It heats up quickly, and the LED indicator lets me know exactly when it's ready. Instead of the pulling of my old flat iron, my hair just glides (and I mean GLIDES) between the HANA Pro's plates. Thanks to the smooth curves on the plate edges, flipping it in or out at the end is a breeze. My hair feels so much smoother, and looks it as well. The biggest surprise, though, was the time I saved. The HANA Pro has quite literally cut my straightening time in half. What used to be several passes to get straight(ish) results now takes only one or two strokes. Throw in a long swiveling cord, and an unexpectedly well packaged product with little extras, and I couldn't be happier. Best purchase I ever made for my hair. :)
I'm a professional stylist and I know from experience that HANA makes the BEST flat irons for salon use. They're very lightweight which helps because I have weak wrists.

I never had a flat iron before. I found this site and did my research and purchased the Hana Pro. It arrived the next day and was packaged so beautifully too. Came with a little bottle of hand sanitizer and emery boards. There was a big purple bow with white polka dots around the heat mat that came with it. I am so pleased with the results I am getting from the Hana Pro. My hair is fine and frizzy. This is probably the first time in my life that I can get my hair to behave. I highly recommend this product, along with the Hana Shine Shield Thermal Protectant.
My stylist uses the Elite model but recommended that I get a HANA because they come with a longer warranty and they get up to 450. I was a little concerned because I ended up buying the Pro model but I am really blown away by the results and by the way the iron just glides through my hair! I used to have to grab and yank my hair with my old CHI but with this I just let the iron do the work. I had never been much of a girly girl but I recently took on my hair as a new hobby. I was using a Conair flatiron but was never satisfied with my results, no matter what my method was. last year my mom got me a nano silver conair straightener and it curned and didn't straighten my hair at all. this year she got me the hana professional and i love it. it works way better than my other one and i would not trade it for anything else. i needed the higher heat settings because i have really thick curly course hair.

Omg!!! I have really curly hair that has a mind of it's own and is frizzy. I have used other straighteners, even other high end straighteners and NONE of them could EVER touch my Hana straightener!!!! It smooths and shines at the same time, there are no frizzes and my hair feels and looks like silk!!!! I was afraid that since it is only a 1 straightener and my hair is long that it would take a long time to straighten, but it really goes quickly; actually a lot more so than ever!!!! I love that I can make flips with it and even some waves. This product is AMAZING!!!! I would even suggest that salons in my home town throw out their 'professional' straightener (brand will go unmentioned) and acquire this straightener.They would have a ton of happy customers!!! If you are debating on this straightener and another...DEBATE NO MORE...YOU HAVE HIT THE JACK POT!!!!Way to go Misikko!!!!!
Although I was really reluctant to try the Hana since I wasn't as familiar with this brand as I was with others (CHI, FHI, Croc, etc) I am so happy I bought the Hana! The price was what pushed me initially but I am so glad that I went ahead with my purchase! Not only does this flat iron work 100% times better than my old Croc, I have the comfort of knowing that I have a 2 year warranty backing me up.
I just had my second Chi 1 original break on me after less than 6 months of use. I purchased this iron to try something new and thought it looked high quality. I've been using it a few weeks and I am thrilled with it. It heats up much hotter than my Chi irons did, and it feels solid. Hopefully it works well for years to come!

Hana Professional Flat Iron 1 I must say, I am a MUA and I use it when I need to do a client hair as well as makeup. I watched a video by pinkpornstar1 on YouTube 3 months ago and placed my order. I just ordered another product.
I have only used this once so far but I love it. It was delivered in two days. It comes with a nice carrying pouch, packaged beautifully. I noticed how light it is and I love the swivel cord. My old one didn't have that and it makes a big difference. It heated up really quick and it really smoothed my hair. I will rate it again after a couple of weeks, but so far I love it
